If you have never owned an RV and are thinking about buying one, Trailside RV Center offers you an ideal way for you to familiarize yourself with the RV Lifestyle before you buy.
We encourage you to rent an RV from our rental fleet of motorhomes and trailers and take an extended "test drive".
Professionals at the dealership will fully instruct you in the operation of the vehicles. Even if you're driving or towing an RV for the first time, features such as automatic transmissions, power brakes and power steering make it easy for drivers to adjust to the difference in size, height and weight.
Renting enables you to try various types of RVs and learn from actual experience which one best suits your particular needs. Or perhaps you already know and enjoy the RV lifestyle but aren't ready to own. Of course, many people rent RVs simply for the fun, freedom and flexibility of RVing!

PICK UP / RETURN POLICY
Generally, all vehicles will be available for pick up only after 2:00 pm and any departure available by closing time is considered on time. Early Pick Ups may be available; please call the morning of departure and check with us. Rental Units must be returned from 8-11:00am, Mon-Saturday; if not returned during business hours, you are responsible for the unit until 9:00am the next business day which will incur an extra day rental charge. All departures and returns are at Trailside RV 700 R.D. Mize Road, Grain Valley, MO unless prior arrangements have been made.
MAKING PAYMENT
A down payment of $250 per 4 night package is required to guarantee a reservation on all RV rentals.
Estimated charges for the trip are due in full 30 DAYS PRIOR to the pick-up date. If today is less than 30 days from the pick-up date, full payment is due now. Trailside RV accepts Cash, Cashiers Checks, and Money Orders. Personal Checks are not accepted less than 14 days prior to departure.
DOWN PAYMENT
A down payment of $250 is required to guarantee a reservation on all RV rentals. Estimated charges for the trip are due in full 30 DAYS PRIOR to the pick-up date. If today is less than 30 days from the pick-up date, full payment is due now. Trailside RV accepts Cash, Cashiers checks, Money Orders, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. Personal Checks are not accepted less than 14 days prior to departure.
OTHER CHARGES
The following charges, mileage and sales tax in excess of that estimated, and the cost of repairs for damages deemed to be the customer's responsibility, will be deducted from the security deposit:
Generator Hours - $5 per hour OR $20 per night unlimited usage
No Smoking Allowed and unit should be returned odor free from smoke (including campfire smell) or a $500.00 DEEP Cleaning Fee will be charged
Waste tanks not emptied - $50.00 (unless pre-arranged waste evacuation is paid for); LP not topped off - $35.00 + cost of LP
Clean inside and out or our cleaning rates are $89 per hour with a $100 minimum
Fuel level not same as departure - $35 + cost of fuel
CANCELLATION POLICY
From the date of the reservation to 30 days prior to the pick-up date on RV rentals, Trailside RV will refund the down payment less a $35 processing fee. NO REFUND will be given if cancellation is less than 30 days prior to departure on RV rentals.
SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT
Deposit(s) are due at TIME OF PICK-UP and must be cash, certified check or money order. Personal Checks are not accepted less than 14 days prior to departure. ($750 for Motor homes, $500 for Travel Trailers)
REFUND OF SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT
Every effort will be made to make refunds within 15 business days after return of a rental if unit is returned clean inside & out, LP topped off, fuel tanks as received, and gray & black water tanks drained with valves open and with NO DAMAGE. Refund will be in the form of a Trailside RV check or credit card refund. INSURANCE COVERAGE
Motorized Units: The vehicle must have full coverage insurance before it leaves our lot. You have a choice of bringing in a binder listing us as additional insured through your own personal insurance, or, if you’re insurance will not extend to the rental vehicle, you will be required to purchase full coverage insurance directly through MBA Insurance. The rate is $15-$25 per day (to be purchased at www.mbachoice.com using a VISA or MasterCard + $10 proc. fee), with a $750 deductible. The $750 deductible will be collected at the time of departure, in the form of an additional security deposit. This must be in the form of Cash, Certified Check or Money Order.
Towable Units: The liability coverage on your tow vehicle should automatically extend to the rental unit while it is attached to your vehicle. Proof of insurance on tow vehicle is required before departure. Trailside RV provides full coverage (Liability, Comp & Collision) when the unit is disconnected from the tow vehicle with a $250 deductible. You are responsible for the deductible.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A) The Person named on the RESERVATION APPLICATION must have a valid major credit card, and is the only person authorized to sign the rental agreement and drive the vehicle off our lot; B) No refund will be issued if the vehicle is returned prior to the scheduled return date nor do we refund unused mileage; C) The rental vehicle is not permitted into Mexico D) SMOKING, open flames such as candles or incense are prohibited. E) Pets or Towing of any type is prohibited unless approved prior to pick up and additional fee is paid (limited availability; specific units only, service animals OK); F) generally, all vehicles will be available for pick up only after 2:00 pm and any departure available by closing time is considered on time. G) Rental Units must be returned by 11:00 am Tues-Fri; if not returned during business hours, you are responsible for the unit until 9:00am the next business day. H) All departures and returns are at Trailside Campers RV Sales Inc, 700 RD Mize RD, Grain Valley, MO. I) All authorized drivers must have a clean driving record, be at least 25 years old, be present at the time of departure and have their valid picture driver’s license. J) All rental vehicles are subject to sale. We cannot guarantee a specific vehicle will be available. You will be guaranteed a vehicle of our choosing which most closely matches what you reserved per availability. However, we cannot guarantee the same rate but we will make every effort to do so. We will notify you if there are any changes in your reservation.
You have read and agree with all of the conditions on this RESERVATION APPLICATION and all the information you have given us is true and correct. You understand that we may perform a credit investigation on you and a DMV check on all drivers; you hereby authorize us to receive information on your credit and driving record from others. The credit card listed above is issued in your name with the billing address the same as listed above. You also authorize us to charge your credit card listed above for the down payment amount shown. You have read and understand that Trailside RV Center may retain all or part of that down payment in the event of cancellation according to the cancellation policy stated above. This is an application only – acceptance by Trailside RV Center is by confirmation only. Valid Driver’s License with picture and valid credit card used to secure this reservation is required at time of departure.
